Age UK

Age UK are a nationwide charity aiming to provide information, advice and services for elderly people. Combating loneliness is one of their key remits and they offer a number of befriending services in order to help and support.

Their befriending services can be accessed via https://www.ageuk.org.uk/services/ - where you are able to sign up to face to face befriending, including befrienders visiting homes for a cup of tea or accompanying to an activity such as a cafe or to the theatre!

Age UK also offer a telephone befriending service, where a volunteer will phone an older person at an agreed time for a chat.
